July 27, 2026 – The American Bakers Association (ABA) recognized five members of Congress with Baking Industry Champions Awards.
“Commercial baking is a foundational part of America’s food system, providing safe, nutritious, and affordable foods while supporting communities nationwide,” said Eric Dell, President and CEO of the American Bakers Association. “The Baking Industry Champions Awards recognize elected officials who understand the importance of this industry and have worked to advance policies that help baking continue to feed America and drive economic growth.”
Those honored with the 2026 Baking Industry Champions Awards are:
- Representative Sharice Davids (D-KS 03)
- Representative Donald G. Davis (D-NC 01)
- Representative John Joyce M.D. (R-PA 13)
- Representative Darin Lahood (R-IL 16)
- Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS)
