The American Bakers Association (ABA), the United States’ only bakery-specific national and state trade association, honors the country’s military veterans today and always.
“Today, we honor the military veterans who served in the Armed Forces,” said Robb MacKie, President and CEO, ABA. “Recognizing the sacrifices they have made for this country, the baking industry is proud to employ thousands of veterans who continue to serve their communities by helping to feed America.”
As a leader of the Baking Industry Alliance (BIA), ABA is honored to partner with USO’s Pathfinder® Transition Program, helping recruit and employ transitioning military members and their spouses in rewarding baking careers.
“The baking industry employs more than 3,000 veterans and we are always looking to welcome more of these talented individuals into the baking manufacturing community. It is a privilege to have the brave men and women who served our country now share our common mission of delivering delicious and nutritious food to Americans’ tables,” added MacKie.
