Commodity and Agricultural Policy
Why join this group?
Issues related to commodities are constantly in flux, which is why it’s critical for companies to stay up to date with the latest information from experts. Not only will you learn from experts in specific issue areas, such as wheat transportation, but you will help inform ABA’s positions to advocate on behalf of the industry to Congress, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Trade Representative, and the U.S. Department of Transportation. Member participation is key to making meaningful change for your company in D.C.

The more participation you have, the more you can get from not only the ABA, but we can also affect regulation and policy upon the Hill. You want to be part of the action and not watch the action. Our collective voice is much louder than our singular voice.
How to get involved
The Commodity and Agriculture Policy Professionals Group meets twice a year in person, with virtual meetings and webinars as well. Attendance is not mandatory but is highly encouraged since active participation is the best way to stay up to date on the latest regulations and policies. There are no additional Membership dues to be a part of this Group–or any group–nor a need to apply to be in it. There is no limit to the number of people in the Group per ABA Member company. The more insight from our Members, the more meaningful the actions we can take together.
