April 22, 2026 – The American Bakers Association (ABA) elected the organization’s 2026-28 Executive Committee and Board of Directors during the Annual Member Meeting at the ABA Convention. Together, these leaders will guide the association’s strategic priorities and continue strengthening critical advocacy initiatives on behalf of the commercial baking industry.
The ABA Board elected the following members to serve on the Executive Committee:
- Chair: Brian LeComte, President and COO of Gold Medal Bakery
- First Vice Chair: Joe Turano, President of Turano Baking Co.
- Treasurer: Tyson Yu, CEO of Aspire Bakeries
- At-Large Member: Greg Koehrsen, President of Bimbo Bakeries USA
- At-Large Member: Ryals McMullian, Chairman and CEO of Flowers Foods
- At-Large Member: Trina Bediako, CEO of New Horizons Baking
- Immediate Past Chair: William Quigg, President and CEO of Richmond Baking

In addition, ABA elected four members to the 2026-28 Board of Directors:
Jesse Amoroso is the president and chief operating officer at Amoroso’s Baking Company, where he represents the fifth generation of family leadership. He has held a variety of roles across the organization, contributing to the company’s continued growth and operational success. In addition to his leadership at Amoroso’s, he has been actively involved in industry initiatives, previously serving as co-chair of the American Bakers Association’s NextGen Baker program and on the board of directors for the Independent Bakers Association.

Bill Bundy has spent his career with Bundy Baking Solutions, beginning his journey with the company at the age of sixteen. Over the years, he has taken on increasing leadership responsibilities and played a key role in strengthening the company’s global operations and customer partnerships. Bundy has been instrumental in expanding the company’s international presence, particularly in Europe and Asia, and has worked closely with teams across the organization to build a strong and growing footprint in Europe and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Yianny Caparos is the chief executive officer at Crown Bakeries, where he leads the company’s strategic growth and operational initiatives. Prior to becoming CEO, Caparos served as president of Crown Bakeries and has built strong customer relationships across the commercial baking industry while driving operational excellence and innovation within the organization. Caparos brings extensive industry expertise and leadership experience to the role and is widely recognized for his contributions to the baking community. He has been honored as a member of the American Society of Baking (ASB) Hall of Fame.

Carrie Jones-Barber is the chief executive officer at Dawn Foods, with more than thirty years at the company, she has played a pivotal role in shaping Dawn into a global leader in sweet bakery products, with operations serving customers in more than 100 countries worldwide. Since becoming CEO in 2006, Jones-Barber has led the company through significant growth, including major international expansion and strategic acquisitions. Prior to becoming CEO, Jones-Barber served as president of Dawn International, where she oversaw the company’s international operations and drove strong growth and profitability. Throughout her career at Dawn, she has held leadership roles across sales, information technology, strategy, and global business operations.
