The American Bakers Association is heartbroken about the tragic passing of Indiana Representative Jackie Walorski and her two staffers, Emma Thomson and Zachery Potts.
Rep. Walorski was a friend of the baking industry since the beginning of her service in 2013. In 2017, she received our association’s prestigious Bakers’ Dozen Award because of her critical work in nutrition and SNAP choices. She supported the industry with the Save American Workers Act, COOL Reform, and Accurate Food Labeling Act.
The American Bakers Association has several Member facilities in her beloved 2nd District of Indiana, including Alpha Baking Company, Bimbo Bakeries USA, and Lewis Brothers Bakeries.
