The program, scheduled for September 14-16, 2021, in Alexandria, Virginia, will offer attendees one-of-a-kind interactive leadership training to build the skills they need to succeed in complex, fast-moving, and tumultuous environments.
The American Bakers Association's NextGenBaker executive leadership program has partnered with General Stanley McChrystal's Team, The McChrystal Group, to develop a custom, interactive, and collaborative event. Throughout the three-day program attendees will explore new techniques to develop and lead high-performance teams, strengthen effective communication, and unleash innovative thinking through highly engaging experiential learning activities.
Sessions cover a variety of topics including:
- Coaching and Communicating Through Change
- Unleashing Innovative Thinking
- Looking Ahead: Consumer Trends and Expectations
- A Discussion on Diversity and Inclusion in the Baking Industry
- The Future of Capitol Hill
"The NextGenBaker Leadership Forum's sessions will give attendees countless takeaways to bring back and implement with their teams," said Christina Donnelly, Director of Industry Relations and NextGenBaker Staff Liaison. “We are thrilled to partner with The McChrystal Group because of their proven ability to help organizations tap into the potential of their people."
With numerous networking events during the program, attendees will also focus on relationship building with their peers and the Boards of Directors of the American Bakers Association (ABA) and Allied Trades of the Baking Industry (ATBI).
This multi-day event will be in-person in the DC Metro Area with a one-day (Thursday) virtual option for participants who are unable to attend in-person. ABA is monitoring best practices and Federal/State/Local/Venue regulations as it pertains to in-person events. ABA will follow any mandated regulations in effect during the dates of the event and inform attendees of those measures closer to the start of the event.
