ABA represents
the wholesale baking industry's interests before the United
States Congress, the administration and state legislatures
throughout the United States.
ABA is
a service-oriented organization which provides a wide
variety of benefits to inform and assist its members.
ABA produces a bi-monthly newsletter, the Bulletin, which
provides legislative updates and reports on current issues
and events concerning the industry. ABA provides
several other sources of information that focus on
specific issues, such as the monthly
environmental issues mailing and the State Update,
which informs members about the introduction of state
laws and regulations that may affect their companies.
ABA also
produces a variety of publications on important industry
topics including the ABA Labeling
Manual and the Contract Summary Report which analyzes information
from current collective bargaining agreements. The Membership
Directory, which lists baker and allied member companies
with their addresses, telephone and fax numbers, is published
on an annual basis. ABA also publishes several surveys: the Salary & Benefits
Survey and
the Transportation Survey.
