American Bakers Association Committee System Overview
The American Bakers Association has a variety of committees that work to promote the interests of the wholesale baking industry before the United States Congress, state officials and federal agencies. Committee members make connections with industry peers and stay informed on current issues with electronic updates.

Committee members also have the opportunity to attend committee meetings, where they hear from members of Congress, federal regulators, industry experts, and/or technology experts.  Open forums allow attendees to freely exchange information and advise one another on how to meet compliance demands in their facilities.

The Committee directs its attention to the energy and environmental regulations and legislation directly related to the costs of bakery operations. The majority of the Committee’s time is spent engaged in a dialogue with Congress, federal and state agencies about bills and proposed regulations.
